What would you go back home for?
As I was walking to my train this morning, I realized that I had forgotten my wallet. I was about a 7 min from home and decided that I would really be late for work if I went back, even though my Metrocard (train fare card) and my work ID was there.
Since I carry my ATM/debit card, driver's license and my cash in my money clip, it was still sufficient enough to make it through the day. Worse comes to worse, I borrow some money from Mrs. jigg.
A couple of years ago, I would have gone back for it. In fact, had I left my cellphone, I definitely would have gone back. These things are not so important to me anymore, especially when I went 30 days without a cellphone. I think many times, we put too much value and dependency on how important our phones are to us.
What do you leave the house with and which would you go back for, knowing it would make you really late?** ** ** **

i think id die without my phone. wallet is ehh....
but yea way too reliant on my phone >.<
blackberry & phone. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I didn't have either.
Weird that you'd blog about this. I only live two *EXTREMELY SHORT* blocks from the train station and once I got onto the platform, I realized I forgot my Blackberry. A few months ago, I would have gone back for it, but I think I was pretty okay with not having my Blackberry on me. Surprising much. If I left my wallet (ID, cash, metrocard) I would have gone back.
why do you carry both a money clip and wallet?
@aegie - I never like putting cash in my wallet. I find it annoying and cumbersome to take out and put in money. I have used a money clip for a good many many years. My wallet is used to hold all my cards and such. My wife got my a new money clip for Christmas and it has a double-side clip. I was snowboarding this weekend so instead of carrying my wallet on the slopes, I clipped my driver's license and debit card with my cash.
Besides, why have all your eggs in the same basket?

@aegie - i do the same thing, is it uncommon?
i'd go back for my wallet and phone. sometimes i forget my packed lunch, but if i'm more than a block away from my house, eff it.
Depending if I was leaving the house with people or not would effect my choice of grabbing the phone or not (like going out to a restaurant or going to the movies). If it was for work, I wouldn't worry about it as much seeing as there's a work phone they could call me on (assuming so). Generally though I never forget :)
keys.
Wallet, since I can't get very far without it. My metrocard and money are in it. I would go back for keys too. I'd be stuck in the cold of I got locked out.
borrow money :P..
@petitetokio - I find it hard to forget my keys since I have to lock the door everytime I leave. lol.

I'd go back for the wallet, cell, and underpants. Can't live without any of those three.
30 days without a cellphone - was that an experiment you conducted? Sounds both fascinating and disastrous at the same time. How'd it go? I might try this one!
Since I'm still in school, I would go back for HOMEWORK. I did before like ... twice. I rather be late. I don't care much about my wallet and phone. I carry my money in my pocket anyways.
@jigg - i'm sorry about leaving your door unlocked okay?!!!?! yeeeeeeeeesh! haha just kidding. i only did it once! i promise!
My classroom key, T-Money Card and flashdrive.
I would definitely not leave the house without my work laptop. Can't work without that! I hate forgetting my wallet or cellphone at home, but it has happened. And whenever I do, I just let it be.
